ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintains continuous observation of patients and reporting same to nurse in charge.
a. Accurate check and charting of vital signs.
b. Encourages patient’s participation in family activities.
2. Serves as a liaison for outside groups coming into the facility to hold meetings. (AA/NA).
3. Assists patients as necessary in the activities of daily living including eating, dressing, and personal cleanliness.
4. Strict emphasis on maintenance of environment safety and hygiene including continuous housekeeping chores.
5. Professional and courteous telephone etiquette and communications with patients, co-workers and visitors.
6. Adheres to the duties assigned as required by the current billing procedures.
7. Require regular and reliable attendance.
8. Attend all mandatory training/licensure and receive an annual TB screening.
9. Obtain and remain current with (SAS) Substance Abuse Specialist certification by obtaining 20 hours relevant training for re-certification bi-annually.
10. Proficiency with MS Office computer software applications and/or medical records software/applications, emails, etc.
11. Must have excellent organizational skills in regard to keeping patient records and pertinent medical/clinical documentation.
12. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
SAT: Certified nursing assistant, certified medical technician, EMT or formal coursework towards nursing degree completed or in process; basic written and verbal communication skills, some knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse helpful; must work compatibly with others and have enough basic physical strength to perform required manual tasks involved with the position.
Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
